Reference Material

Rose Lowder, Bouquets 1 - 10 (1995)
Made frame by frame, each image is collected in a strict single frame pattern set previous to filming. The images are taken around a similar geographic location and have all been filmed on bright days, in perfect light conditions.

Jennifer Nightingale, Knitting a frame (2006)
A short animation made by attaching a thread to the Bolex camera, over the duration of knitting together a garment, the movement of the hand opens the Bolex shutter, exposing the film one frame at a time. The result is a stop motion animation in which the garment grows, light changes and the ball of wool disappears.
